I-15 Through Temecula Stalled Due To Multi-Vehicle Injury Crash: What To Know

TEMECULA, CA — An injury crash led to a stalled southbound I-15 freeway on Tuesday morning. The crash occurred south of the Overland Bridge, just north of Rancho California Road, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch reports.

Shortly before 11 a.m., a white sedan heading southbound on I-15 through Temecula sustained significant damage as it collided with a white Dodge Caravan and another vehicle. At least one person reportedly lost consciousness in the crash, according to CHP dispatch reports.

The #1 and #4 lanes were closed during the incident, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire spokesperson Karina Espinoza. "One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance in an unknown condition," she told Patch.

All vehicles were blocking the slow lane, and at least one person required an ambulance.

Tow trucks were called to the scene, and no other information was immediately available.

Heavy traffic began on I-125 north of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and at the I-15 and I-215 southbound merge.
