Injured ATV Rider Airlifted From Aguanga Crash

Aguanga is an unincorporated Riverside County community located where state Routes 371 and 79 connect east of Temecula.

AGUANGA, CA — An all-terrain vehicle rider was injured Friday when his ATV plunged down an embankment and rolled several times in Aguanga, requiring an airlift of the victim to a hospital for treatment.

The crash was reported shortly before 5 p.m. in the area of Marmont and Reed Valley roads, just south of Cahuilla Lake, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol.

Paramedics stabilized the victim, whose name was not released, and carried him to a makeshift landing zone, where a REACH Air ambulance retrieved him about 5:45 p.m., airlifting him to a regional trauma center for treatment.

The CHP was investigating the crash.
