Missing Georgia Cat Found In California
Kitty Bitty went missing six months ago. She was finally found in Riverside County this week.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA -- A cat who went missing in Georgia six months ago was found aboard a big rig in California. The cat, named Kitty Bitty, was discovered in Riverside County, the region's Animal Services Department said.
The cat apparently hopped onto a Pepsi truck in Pooler, Georgia before arriving in Riverside where Animal Services was called to retrieve the five-year-old Kitty Bitty.
"Our veterinary services team members examined and treated the cat for dehydration," said John Welsh, a spokesman for the department. "The cat was also very skinny, a condition likely from lack of nutrition. We are uncertain how long the cat was inside the soda truck."

Welsh said the department was able to contact Kitty Bitty's owner thanks to her tag.
Owner Teresa Cameron was surprised by the rescue as Kitty Bitty went missing on July 4, Welsh said.

“I can't thank you enough for helping us get Kitty Bitty back to Savannah,” Cameron said. “My daughter has been telling me everyday since he's been gone how much she misses him and wishes he would come back. She is over the moon that he has been found."
Animal Services plans to fly the cat home on Monday.
