Mulch Fire Burns Near Old Town Temecula

The blaze was reported at 3:08 p.m. near the 28000 block of Pujol Street, west of Interstate 15.

TEMECULA, CA — Billowing smoke spotted Wednesday afternoon on Temecula's west side was due to a mulch fire, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The blaze was reported at 3:08 p.m. near the 28000 block of Pujol Street, west of Interstate 15.

It's not immediately clear what caused the 50-foot mulch pile to catch fire.
