This Popular Restaurant Inside Promenade Mall Is Closing: What To Know
A favored spot for families, with both outdoor and indoor seating, that has been a neighborhood staple for over 15 years, bids farewell.

TEMECULA, CA — Promenade Temecula's Lazy Dog Restaurant has announced it will be shutting its doors in September, a restaurant spokesperson confirmed with Patch.
A recent statement shared by Lazy Dog on social media states that although they are grateful for the unwavering support of the community, they will not be renewing their lease at Promenade Temecula and will close their doors in September.
"After an incredible 15-year journey, we are approaching the end of our lease in Temecula. We have made the difficult decision not to renew, which means we will close on Sept. 10, 2025," the official statement reads.

Although this location is closing due to non-renewal of the lease, Lazy Dog founder Chris Simms has no plans to slow down. "Our growth across the country is still on track as we plan to share the Lazy Dog experience with many new communities to come," he said.
"We’d also like to extend thanks to the Temecula community for their support over the past 15 years. It’s been an honor to nourish strong connections with each guest who has walked through our doors."

A manager at the Temecula restaurant shared with Patch that Lazy Dog Restaurant is offering prospective jobs to those willing to go out of the area.
"A new Lazy Dog Restaurant will be opening nearby soon," they said.

"We’re committed to supporting our teammates through this transition and are working to explore opportunities at nearby locations wherever possible," Sara Swiger, Lazy Dog's Director of Media Relations said.
