Police said Cameron Lawrence, 41, allegedly attempted to coax minors into his vehicle while at the store's parking lot, he later purposefully drove at a high rate of speed towards at least two people, nearly striking them.
Lawrence fled the scene after officers arrived, prompting a brief chase. He later crashed into another car while traveling eastbound on Highway 79 and rolled his car, police said.
Lawrence was arrested for felony DUI and assault with a deadly weapon. He was taken to the hospital for a broken rib and shoulder, and multiple lacerations to his face. The second driver was also transported to a local medical facility for complaint of pain, police said.
