Suspicious Package Found at RivCo Courthouse Deemed Not A Threat

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA— Riverside Police and the FBI conducted a follow-up investigation Wednesday following the discovery of a suspicious package at the Riverside County courthouse.
Firefighters responded about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to the courthouse at 4100 Main St. and entered the building along with Riverside police officers to investigate the package for possible hazardous substances, according to Battalion Chief Jeff DeLaurie of the Riverside Fire Department. No hazardous materials were detected.
The area of the courthouse where the package was found was not disclosed.
