SWR City Ranked Among Safest In California To Raise A Child

SafeWise's 2019 report on the "50 Safest Cities to Raise a Child" puts Murrieta among the top ten in the state and top 20 in the nation.

MURRIETA, CA — Murrieta has been ranked among the top 10 safest cities in California — and the 20th safest nationwide — to raise a child, according to SafeWise's 2019 report on the "50 Safest Cities to Raise a Child." The report looked at statistics such as violent crime rates, sex offender rates, property crime rates, and graduation rates, among others.

In California, Murrieta ranked sixth overall with a safety score of 91.77 out of a possible 100, and was bested by the following cities:
