
TEMECULA, CA — A house fire in Temecula took nearly two hours to contain Tuesday morning, with authorities reporting that a pet died in the blaze.
The fire was reported at 6:38 a.m. in the 34000 block of Pauba Road.
When crews arrived at the scene of the single-story, single-family home, it was "well involved in fire," according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The blaze was contained at 8:17 a.m. and the fire department reported that animal services personnel were called after a pet died in the incident.
No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
