Temecula Police Catch Suspected Serial Burglars

Three suspects were arrested in connection to a string of residential burglaries.

TEMECULA, CA -- Three people were arrested last week following a string of residential burglaries in Southwest Riverside. Police said Broderick Kinzenbaw, 23, Alyssa Gervais, 22, Brenten Kinzenbaw, 20, were arrested.

The investigation began in March after multiple residents reported burglaries in the unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Anza. During one of the burglaries, multiple firearms and a large amount of U.S. currency was stolen from a residence, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

On April 6, Temecula officers contacted and arrested Broderick Kinzenbaw and Gervais at a Temecula motel and arrested them for outstanding arrest warrants. At the time of the arrest, both were found to be in possession of a large amount of U.S. currency and personal property that was later linked to one of the residential burglary victims.

Broderick Kinzenbaw was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on his outstanding felony arrest warrant, while Gervais was cited and released for her misdemeanor arrest warrants.

While conducting follow-up investigation, officers were able to identify multiple residential burglary victims and connect Broederick Kinzenbaw and Gervais to the crimes.

On April 13, Gervais and Brenten Kinzenbaw, Broderick’s brother, were contacted and detained at a motel within the city of San Jacinto.

Brenten Kinzenbaw was observed arriving at the location in a vehicle, which had been reported stolen in the city of Moreno Valley on April 12. Inside of the stolen vehicle, officers located and recovered multiple firearms and ammunition which had been stolen during the Anza area residential burglaries, police said.

Both Brenten Kinzenbaw and Alyssa Gervais were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
