Temecula Police Detain 1 After Possible Armed Subject Call
Police say they responded to a local Walmart store after getting the call Monday morning.

TEMECULA, CA — A large police presence was spotted at a Temecula Walmart store on Monday morning, after authorities received a call for a "possible armed subject," officials tell Patch. One person has already been detained in connection to the call and a BB gun was recovered.
Riverside County Sheriff's Dep. Robyn Flores tells Patch someone called police at 10:59 a.m. to report the individual at the big box store located at Temecula and Meadows parkways. Units from the Temecula station responded, and had a person detained by just before 11:15 a.m., she said.
The store was evacuated as police investigated the case, but Flores said no one was hurt. It was not immediately clear if a weapon was found.

As of 1:45 p.m., police tell Patch that one man remained in custody, and the store had resumed business as normal.
Sheriff's officials later said the man had a BB gun in his bag when he was detained.

"No injuries to the public or deputies," the sheriff's department said in a Tweet.
