Temecula Woman Is Parents' Rock, Never Gave Up Despite Loss, Mom Says

TEMECULA, CA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Leticia Rosales and Francisco Rosales, who nominated Kimberly Rosales of Temecula.

What makes your Mom extra special?

She is my own daughter, she is a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and wife. My daughter. My daughter lost her sister of cystic fibrosis when she was 17 years old. Kimberly was already a mother of a 1-year-old when she lost her sister. Her sister was everything to her. My daughter Kimberly took the mother role when her dad and I were not doing good emotionally. She stepped up to take care of everything arranging funeral arrangements for her sister, she did everything. We’re so proud of her. She is the mother of 3 beautiful children that she adores; she is a blessing to us. She continues to help us in every way she can. She has gone through so much. Not only she lost her little sister, 8 months after she lost her grandmother. And once again she took charge because her dad and I were grieving, she took control again. I don’t know what we would be without her. She is our rock. Life has not been easy on her; her second child was born premature, she had complications. But she never gave up. She is a blessing to call her our daughter.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She is my role model for her children, she is my hero. Her father and I are blessed to call her daughter.
