Temecula's South Coast Winery Hosts 'Tacos & Tempranillo'

TEMECULA, CA — Forget Taco Tuesday: in Temecula, it's Taco Thursday.

Every Thursday, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa hosts Tacos & Tempranillo, a chef-forward event with DJs and of course, vino.

From 4 to 8 p.m. in the Tasting Room, à la carte tacos are served by the culinary team from The Vineyard Rose Restaurant. Why Tempranillo? Simply because it pairs with almost anything.

According to Wine Folly, Tempranillo has a flavor profile of cherry, plum, tomato and even cedar, tobacco, vanilla and clove.

"Its bold yet smooth flavor complements the fun, fresh, and slightly spicy kick of our handcrafted tacos," the winery says. "So grab a glass, grab a taco, and hang out with us!"

Beef Birria $4.50

Chicken Birria $3.50

Mushroom Verde $3.00

Accompaniments include salsa, onions, cilantro, lime, pico de gallo and avocado lime salsa, the resort told Patch.
