Vail Elementary School Students Safe After Vehicle Fire Near Campus
Four engine crews were sent to the location and encountered a vehicle "fully involved" with flames, according to the fire department.

TEMECULA, CA — A vehicle that caught fire Thursday near a Temecula elementary school was destroyed, but crews prevented the flames from extending to surrounding properties.
The non-injury blaze was reported at 4 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Mira Loma Drive and Rancho Vista Road, in the immediate vicinity of Vail Elementary School, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that four engine crews were sent to the location and encountered a vehicle "fully involved" with flames.

Firefighters quickly deployed and prevented the fire from spreading, completely knocking it down at 4:12 p.m., according to officials.
No roads were closed as a result of the blaze.
