Woman Who Stole From Great Oak High School Charity Set For Sentencing
Jessica Anne Vulovic, 43, is facing up to one year in county jail and three years of probation after pleading guilty May 4 to grand theft.
TEMECULA, CA — A woman convicted of stealing money from a nonprofit organization established to support Great Oak High School students is scheduled for sentencing next month.
Jessica Anne Vulovic, 43, is facing up to one year in county jail and three years of probation after pleading guilty May 4 to one count of grand theft, a felony.
Her sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 14. Her time behind bars could be reduced if she pays 50 percent of the $86,216 ordered restitution up front. If she does, her sentence would be cut to 180 days in county jail with one year of probation, and her felony conviction dropped to a misdemeanor, according to John Hall, spokesperson for the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.

Vulovic was arrested in 2021 after it was discovered that more than $50,000 was missing from the coffers of Great Oak Academic Leadership Society, otherwise known as GOALS. The charity's goal was "to expand and enrich the educational experience of the students at Great Oak High School," in particular Wolfpack athletes, according to CauseIQ. Vulovic served as the nonprofit's president.
The Temecula charity is now defunct, state filings show.

Vulovic has remained out of custody on bail.
A smattering of news reports and nonprofit websites show she was involved in other fundraising activities in the Temecula Valley. She has not been charged with any crimes stemming from her other work and she has no criminal history in Riverside County, court records show.
The Temecula Valley Unified School District, where Great Oak High School is located, said it cooperated with law enforcement and prosecutors in the case.
