Trees that are flocked or bagged will not be accepted.
As much of the tree as possible should be placed inside your green yard waste cart. Trees can be cut in half and placed in the bin, with the other half placed next it, according to Tri-CED employees.
If, for some reason, you do not want to leave it on your curb on your normal garbage day, you can bring your tree to the Tri-CED Recycling Center located at 33377 Western Avenue, Union City Tuesday through Saturday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. up until January 31.
You may place holiday wrapping paper, boxes, bows and ribbon in your recycling cart. Plastic bags and plastic wrapping, however, must go in your garbage cart.
For more information you can call Tri-CED at 510-471-3850.
