F.U.N. Rotary Meeting - Children at Risk Program

Join the Fremont, Union City and Newark Sunset Rotary Club at their weekly meeting Thursday night as they present two computers to members of Union City's Youth Violence Prevention and Intervention Program. The students will also meet their mentors and program representatives will talk about their efforts in the community. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Free Comic Book Day + Sale at Comic and Figure Addicts

Drop by Comic and Figure Addicts this Saturday and receive a free comic book! Observed by comic book stores across the county, anyone who stops by the local shop will receive an exclusive issue for Free Comic Book Day. There are 52 different titles available for Free Comic Book Day at Comic and Figure Addicts, including The Walking Dead, Adventure Time, Marvel comics, Star Wars, Simpsons, Sesame Street and more. Get there early if you want your free book. As well, there will be a 15 to 50-percent storewide sale.

Live Music at Pizza Ultimate

In early observation of Cinco De Mayo, Pizza Ultimate, located on Mission Boulevard across from Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, is hosting live music this Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m.

Public Buddhism Lectures - An Introduction to Pure Land Buddhism

Want to learn more about Buddhism? The Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church is hosting a free lecture this Saturday at 2 p.m. on "Pure Land Buddhism." Rev. C. Myokei Himaka leads the discussion in the church's main hall.
