'Union City Eats' Food Truck Dinner Menu: Oct. 6
Weather permitting, the weekly food truck festival will continue tonight at Wal-Mart
UPDATE: Two new trucks added to lineup
While the wet weather may put a damper on folks' morning plans, organizers of the Union City Eats food truck festival expect the clouds to clear in time for dinner.
"I have been checking the weather and it is supposed to clear up by late afternoon," said Dana Hernandez, executive director of the Union City Chamber of Commerce, who co-hosts the events with Food Truck Mafia.

Weather permitting, the mobile food fest will return to Union Landing with seven unique trucks from 4:30 to 9 p.m.

- A Union City Eats regular, BBQ Kalbi features a Korean fusion menu that ranges from Kalbi (beef) and Spicy Pollo (chicken) burritos to Kimchi quesadillas. Their unagi (eel) burritos have been a hit at the Union City events.

- This truck knows everything there is to know about the shrimp'n business. Their menu includes spicy shrimp tacos, Vietnamese-style shrimp sandwiches, fried shrimp and more.

- A traditional Mexican seafood taco truck, El Malecon's specialties include super ceviche tostadas, shrimp and cheese emapanadas, super steak quesadillas and shrimp cocktails served in a coconut.
- This Fremont-based American BBQ food truck makes sure each visit is a new experience by switching up their menu every week. Keeping fans in suspense, they release their menu the day of the festival. Stay tuned to their Facebook page to find out what's they're cooking up today. - New to Union City Eats, this truck serves up everything from pastrami and turkey to tri-tip, hot link and veggie sandwiches.

- One of the first food trucks to visit Union City, MoGo BBQ is a local favorite. The truck specializes in Korean BBQ served in burritos, tacos, sliders, quesadillas and bacon-wrapped hot dogs with kimchi.

- Also making its Union City Eats debut, this truck specializes in seasoned Filipino pork sausage. Their menu includes chorizo tacos and burritos, silogs (Filipino breakfast with garlic rice and fried egg), chicken adobo over rice, lumpia lettuce wraps and more.

- Cupcakes — yummy, specialty cupcakes — are the stars of this gourmet truck. Flavors range from Salted Caramel and Maple Bacon to Red Velvet and Chocolate Vanilla. While it may sound perfect for a dessert, don't wait too long — their cupcakes sell out fast.

- Yumsilog specializes in silogs, a traditional Filipino breakfast served with garlic rice and fried egg. Their menu includes tapsilog (cured beef), tosilog (cured pork), longsilog (sweet sausage), Spamsilog (Spam) and bangsilog (Filipino milkfish).
