A Union City Eats patron tries to take on Grill Stars' massive nacho challenge
It looks easier than you think, said Gabriel Ronquillo.
The 23-year-old thought his appetite was enough to beat the Nacho Challenge at .
"They told me I could get free food if I beat it. I said, 'I'm in,'" he said.

But he underestimated the food truck's massive plate of nachos.
Served on a pizza tray and weighing a few pounds, the nacho challenge consists of multiple layers of tortilla and potato chips with cheese, chili, bbq sauce, fiesta sauce and jalapenos, along with brisket, a hot link, an over-easy egg and a cupcake.

It costs $20 to enter the challenge, but if you can eat all of it within 30 minutes, not only do you get your money back, but you eat for free at Grill Stars every week at Union City Eats.
Ronquillo put up a good fight, but threw in the towel halway into the challenge and with only a third of his plate finished.
"My jaw got tired. I started thinking about it too much, and my stomach got bigger," Ronquillo said. "It was all downhill after that."
