Three Vehicle Crash Snarls Traffic on Southbound I-880

A three-vehicle accident backed up traffic for nearly two hours Thursday morning when a tow truck driver traveling northbound near Alvarado-Niles Road on I-880 lost control of the vehicle and drove into the southbound lanes. The tow truck crashed into a silver Honda Accord and another vehicle. Thankfully, no major injuries were reported.

Man Killed in Traffic Collision Near Hayward-Union City Border

A 53-year-old man from southern California was killed Wednesday night near the Hayward-Union City border. Michael Sabb was driving a dark blue Nissan pickup truck that Hayward police said was struck by a blue Ford Mustang at the intersection of Hesperian and Industrial boulevards at about 9:30 p.m. The Mustang slammed into the driver's side of the Nissan and Sabb was pronounced dead at the scene. There were two people in the Mustang, both of whom were uninjured. Read the full story here.

Social Media Privacy Tops New Laws for 2013

Job hunters no longer need to worry about sanitizing their Facebook pages before applying for work, thanks to two new laws that will go on the books in the coming weeks. The social media privacy laws are among the 873 bills Gov. Jerry Brown signed in 2012, many of which will take effect Jan. 1, 2013. Get a brief breakdown of some of those laws here.
