Parents in Venice and Mar Vista can mark the first day of school coming next week.
VENICE-MAR VISTA, CA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Venice and Mar Vista with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
The first day of school for most students in schools in Venice and Mar Vista is Aug. 14.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

- First Day: Aug. 14
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23—24
- Winter Break: Dec. 18—Jan. 5
- Spring Break: March 25—29
- Last Day: June 11
