Easter Events in Venice and Mar Vista

Whether it's brunch or an easter egg hunt, check out some of the options we recommend.

Don’t have plans yet for Easter? Here is a roundup of places in Venice and Mar Vista celebrating Easter.

  • James' Beach restaurant will host their annual Easter brunch buffet Sunday that will feature live jazz and Easter egg coloring. Buffet food includes eggs benedict, fish tacos and neuske ham, and you can wash down the food with $5 mimosas and bloody mary’s. The cost is $29 per person, $12 for children 12 and under. Reservations are recommended.
  • Chaya Venice is having an Easter brunch Sunday and the cost is $42 for adults and $20 for children. The menu includes an array of appetizers ranging from shishito pepper tempura to hamachi mole sashimi and New Zealand sea bass and angus rib-eye steak for a main course. Click here for a full menu
  • Joe's Restaurant will be serving up leg of lamb, fresh gulp shrimp for the main course, as well as a variety of starters and desserts, such as passionfruit cheesecake. The price is $35 for adults and $15 for children. 

The Mar Vista Recreation Center will host a "Spring Eggstravaganza" on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with games, jumpers, prizes and treat bags for youngsters. An event wristband cost $5 and there will be four egg hunts for children of different ages with 2- to 3-year-olds at 11:30 a.m., 4- to 5-year-olds at 12:15 p.m., 6- to 7-year-olds at 1:00 p.m. and 8- to 12-year-olds at 1:30 p.m.
