Why are you seeking elective office?

I want to improve the quality of life for the district.

The single most pressing issue facing our (state, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it:

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I want to create quick solutions that are affordable with existing funding, I don't want to wait for "shelter beds" to become available nor do I agree with spending millions of dollars to get people off the streets. I do agree will helping people that want help to get into housing but for this to occur it takes time and lots of money. We need solutions today that return the much higher standard of quality of life to our neighborhoods.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

Mike Bonin and many of the people I'm running against today believe housing first and until we have housing for the unhoused we should allow them to live where ever they want to setup camp sites. This must end, NOW! Building new housing for the homeless will take time and money, and in the meantime the people living on the streets need batter, they need restrooms, hot showers and many other services that are not possible to provide them living on our streets.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

Address traffic issues by creating end-to-end plans that will allow people get to work cheaper and quicker that by driving in their personal car, and stopping cut through traffic in our residential neighborhoods.

Creating new incentives to build mixed use projects (commercial on the ground floor with residential above) on our major commercial corridors.

Work to bring Skateboarding venue to Venice Beach for the 2028 Olympics.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Venice Farmers' Market, founder and organizer since 1989
Got grant funding to plant street trees in Venice, installed nearly 2000 trees including 650 on Venice Blvd west of Lincoln Blvd.
Participated in Venice Neighborhood Council for past 20 years, now serving as President
Long history of innovations including several US patents

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Do the job right so I don't have to go back and do it over... or perhaps always work to get out ot work by passing along the knowledge to others so they can replace me.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Please consider voting for me, I have a proven track record of getting positive things done for my community. I would like to bring this to the entire district and with your vote, it is possible.
