Police Plan To Crack Down On Distracted Driving On The Westside

VENICE, CA — Los Angeles Police Department Pacific Area officers will be looking for distracted drivers this weekend in Venice, Mar Vista, Del Rey, Westchester and Palms, officials said.

Officers will conduct a distracted driver enforcement detail in the Pacific Area, LAPD West Traffic announced via Twitter.

"Please pay attention and drive safely," officials said. "And, pedestrians, please cross the roads safely and obey the rules."

No further information was immediately released.

Future dates for patrols are to be determined, LAPD told Patch.
