'Twilight' Director To Be Awarded At Legendary Women Artists Of Venice

This years award winners include "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke, fine artist Sandy Bleifer and photographer Edizen Stowell.

VENICE, CA — The fifth annual Legendary Women Artists of Venice Awards will honor film director Catherine Hardwicke, fine artist Sandy Bleifer and photographer Edizen Stowell on Thursday.

The yearly awards ceremony is held by the Venice Art Crawl and is presented to female artists whose work embodies the Art Crawl's mission of creating community through art, education and social activism.

"These amazing women uphold the legacy of feminist art history and theory across multiple art disciplines and meet the criteria of considerable accomplishment, achievement, and contribution to the arts in the Venice community," Venice Art Crawl officials said.

Hardwicke is most known for directing the first "Twilight" film, but also recently worked as the executive producer of "Don't Worry Darling" starring Harry Styles and Florence Pugh. Bleifer's work has been featured in many galleries and museums around the world and focuses on social and environmental issues. Stowell is the Co-Founder of Venice Paparazzi, which has covered more than 1,000 events.

Guests of the awards show will be treated to an NFT show, open bar, hors d'oeuvres, live performances, art activations, silent auction, raffle and an opportunity to mingle with this year's award winners.

The ceremony will take place at the Gall3ry in Venice at 1234 Abbot Kinney Blvd. at 7:30 p.m. for general admission guests. Doors open to VIP ticket holders at 5:30 p.m. where guests will enjoy an opening cocktail reception featuring a live musical performance by Jackie Rain from Moonlight Studios.

General admission tickets cost $150 and VIP ticket cost $350 and can be purchased on the award ceremony's event page.
