Zero Proofed Cocktails Pop-Up Brings Booze-Free Nightlife To Venice
The company promotes having fun alcohol-free and will be at Alana's Coffee Roasters on Saturday.
VENICE, CA — Venice is no stranger to fun weekend nightlife, but for those looking to have a good time without sacrificing the next day, it could be hard to find something to do that doesn't involve alcohol.
Zero Proofed, a booze-free cocktail company founded by two sisters named Priyanka and Chirasmita Kompella, is having a pop-up on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Alana's Coffe Roasters for the sober-curious visitors of Venice. It will be the company's first pop up event, and the founders said they're looking forward to building a community of people who love to have fun without the need for alcohol.
"In choosing a spot for our first event, we wanted to pick a city that shared our values," the Kompella sisters said. "Venice has a really unique community, and we knew we wanted to contribute to its beauty. We're thrilled to see the amount of support we've already received from the LA mindful drinking community."

The event will also feature a live-band karaoke night for attendees to experience being the lead singer of a band. Those brave enough to sing in front of strangers without liquid courage can RVSP here.
General admission is $5 and it goes from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The sisters said they would love to hold many more pop-ups in Los Angeles, but are putting their focus on making Saturday's event the best it can be.
"We're dreaming of a world where we drink less booze, have fewer hangovers, live in the present and create epic memories," the sisters' website said.
