WALNUT CREEK, CA — For anyone looking for lots of leather pants, feathers, and beer, the Walnut Creek Oktoberfest is the place to be.

The annual celebration of all things Bavarian begins Friday at 5 p.m. in the Civic Park East in downtown Walnut Creek.

The Walnut Creek Oktoberfest features two days of bands from across the Bay Area including hip hop, classical, oom pah brass bands.

Beer will be poured into steins for toasts and, on Friday, someone will be crowned the 2025 Stein Holding Champion.

Drinks for die kinder will be available, as well as pretzels and sausages for all ages.

But it's not all lederhosen, dirndls, and Schuhplattler dancing.

Events include a magic show, ballet, jiu jitsu, and an appearance by Sophie Oda.

Lawn chairs and picnic blankets are welcome.
