Join The Walnut Creek Village 'Smell The Roses' Walk

WALNUT CREEK, CA — The Walnut Creek Village, launching in early 2025, is holding a pre-launch event, “Smell the Roses Walk,” at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22. The walk is sponsored by Sports Basement (1881 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek), which is the meeting place for the start of the walk. All seniors in the community are invited to join to smell the roses along with the Walnut Creek Village supporters and fans, including the Walnut Creek Newcomers Group as well as members of the Lamorinda Village and the Clayton Valley Village. Participants will walk from Sports Basement to the Heather Farms Rose Garden.

The Walnut Creek Village is a part of the nationwide village movement supported by the national Village to Village Network (vtvnetwork.org) and Village Movement California (villagemovementcalifornia.org), which provides a platform to promote vibrancy among seniors while they continue to live in their own homes and neighborhoods.
