Man Arrested at Walnut Creek BART Station After Alleged Assault with Glass Bottle Friday
Anthony Holly, 28, is now prohibited from riding BART for 30 days, according to police.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — A man was arrested Friday evening at the Walnut Creek BART station on suspicion of assaulting a BART rider with a deadly weapon and for violating parole, police said.
Anthony Holly, 28, was arrested and taken to the county jail in Martinez. The assault was reported a 4:49 p.m. by riders on a Pittsburg/Bay Point train who alleged Holly was disturbing them, cursing at them and
assaulted one of them with a glass bottle, BART police Lt. Steve Coontz said.
The victim of the assault suffered only minor injuries, according to Coontz. Officers intercepted the train, located the Holly and arrested him.

Police also issued an order that prohibits him from riding BART for 30 days, Coontz said.
