Meetings To Focus On Heather Farm Aquatic, Community Centers
The city of Walnut Creek encourages community members to attend a meeting and get involved in the project.
WALNUT CREEK, CA —The city of Walnut Creek invites community members to get involved in the new aquatic and community center project at Heather Farm Park.
Although the existing facilities have served the community for well over half a century, the aging aquatics and community centers need replacement. The project to do so is funded primarily by the Walnut Creek voter-approved Measure O, a 10-year, half-cent sales tax measure.
The project team is bringing a series of illustrative plans and perspectives of the proposed facility to the following meetings:

- Jan. 9 Park, Recreation and Open Space meeting No. 1: Review of Buildings and Site Layout (Note: This meeting focuses on the building and overall site layout, while the second Parks, Rec and Open Space meeting listed below is to review the proposed aquatic facilities.)
- Jan. 17 Design Review Commission meeting: Review of Buildings and Site Layout
- Feb. 1 Youth Commission meeting: Review of Buildings, Site Layout and Aquatic Facilities
- Feb. 5 Park, Recreation and Open Space meeting No. 2: Review of Aquatic Facilities
The meetings are held at Walnut Creek City Hall, 1666 N. Main St. The city invites community members to attend any or all of the meetings. The agenda and other materials are posted the Friday before each meeting at Walnutcreekca.gov/government/public-meeting-agendas-and-videos.
