CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Patch reader Leah MacLeod took the two photos above on different days while looking toward an entrance to Lime Ridge Open Space.

"I took these photos with an iPhone from roughly the same spot on Treat," Leah wrote in an email to Patch. "I don't recall the dates. I wanted to show my family and friends back east that we just have two seasons here...green and brown."
