Walnut Creek 'Abracadabrew' Event To Support Cancer Support Community

Contra Costa Oncology, which has locations in Walnut Creek, Rossmoor and Danville, is hosting a night of brews, pizza, music and magicians.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — An upcoming night of craft brews and magic craft will support community members fighting and recovering from cancer.

Contra Costa Oncology, a pioneering cancer treatment practice with locations in Walnut Creek, Rossmoor and Danville, is sponsoring AbracadaBrew from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Calicraft Brewery in Walnut Creek.

This kid- and dog-friendly event offers brews, pizza, music and magic. Top Bay Area magicians will be strolling through the crowd, performing sleight-of-hand tricks that will leave attendees mystified.

All event proceeds will go to Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay, which provides free comprehensive support programs for cancer patients and their loved ones, including counseling, support groups, nutrition, exercise, emergency financial assistance and more.

"We ask anyone in the community to come to Calicraft and help us raise funds to combat cancer," said Dr. Michael Sherman, founder of Contra Costa Oncology. "As doctors, we treat the patient, and Cancer Support Community is a vital partner in helping to uplift and strengthen those patients and their families."

Attendees have a chance to win raffle prizes, including Golden State Warriors front-row tickets, a $500 gift certificate to Heller Jewelers, and more.

Calicraft Brewery is located at 2700 Mitchell Drive in Walnut Creek. Admission to the event is $35 and includes two drink tickets and a slice of artisan Citizen Pizza. Children's (non-alcohol) admission is $15 and includes non-alcoholic beverages and a slice of artisan Citizen Pizza.
All attendees must have a ticket, which can be purchased ahead of time at Ccomagicbrew.com.
