Walnut Creek First Wednesdays Street Festival Returns
The street festival in August and September will feature local food and drinks, live music, shopping and activities in the downtown area.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Walnut Creek’s street festival, First Wednesdays, is back for two days of food, drinks, music and activities with the community in August and September.
The street fest will be on Aug. 4 and Sept. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Cypress Street, between Main and Locust streets.
Attendees can order food and drinks from one of several Walnut Creek restaurants within walking distance in the city’s downtown area.

Hosted by Walnut Creek Downtown, the event will feature live music, activities and shopping from local vendors. Dance band Vybe Society will play on Aug. 4 and cover band Diablo Fugitives will play on Sept. 1.
Admission is free, and free parking is available after 5 p.m. at three public garages: N. Locust Garage at 1625 Locust St., S. Locust Garage at 1350 Locust St. and N. Broadway Garage at 1390 N. Broadway. Attendees can also ride BART, then take the free downtown trolley from the station to the festival.

Registration for vendors is open, with limited spaces available. The event welcomes commercial vendors, artists, retailers, food vendors, nonprofits and Walnut Creek Downtown business members. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the event’s record attendance surpassed 2,000 people per event, and organizers expect the booth spaces to fill up quickly. Fill out this form to register as a vendor.
