Walnut Creek Police Lift Lockdown At Las Lomas High School
Officers responded to reports of a person with a gun on school property.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Las Lomas High School was placed on lockdown Friday after reports of an armed subject on school property, the Walnut Creek Police Department said.
Multiple officers responded and conducted a security check and found no one who matched the description, police said.
At 5:37 p.m. Friday, police said the lockdown was lifted at the campus at 1460 S. Main St.

It was not immediately clear how long the lockdown was in effect. There were no Friday night football games taking place at the campus because the teams were scheduled for away games at Acalanes High School.
"There will be WCPD presence to ensure public safety," police said.
