Walnut Festival Underway In Walnut Creek
The 82nd Annual Festival includes rides, live music, food and more! Proceeds go to charity.

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Walnut Creek's 82nd annual Walnut Festival, which features two stages for live music, more than 30 rides and a "kid zone," begins at 5 p.m. today and runs through Sunday.
Admission to the event at Heather Farm Park, located at 301 North San Carlos Drive, costs $10 but there is a $1 discount with a canned food donation. Admission is free for children under 5, seniors 65 or older and
active military members with military identification. On-site parking is available for $5.
Today is Dollar Day, meaning that any of the rides at the event can be ridden for $1. All-You-Can-Ride wristbands are available for $35 each day, but attendees can get a two-for-one special on Friday.

The festival will also feature a fishing derby from 7-11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday before the event opens. Poles and bait will be provided but there is a suggested donation of $5 to register.
Live music will be available on two stages for all four days of the festival.
