Waterwise Garden Tour To Feature 17 Walnut Creek, Concord Home Gardens

A self-guided tour of 17 home gardens in Walnut Creek and Concord, showcases the beauty and diversity that waterwise gardens can offer.

The Ruth Bancroft Garden, Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) and East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) have partnered to offer you the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of 17 home gardens in Walnut Creek and Concord, which showcase the beauty and diversity that waterwise gardens can offer.

A waterwise landscape doesn’t just mean “prickly cacti.” There are many other options for climate-appropriate plants that will make your garden beautiful, conserve water and offer natural food sources for butterflies, bees and other local pollinators. This self-guided tour will showcase lawn-to-garden conversion projects up close, and give you the opportunity to talk to the homeowners and designers about the conversion process, their plant choices and overall experiences.

The tour will be on Saturday, April 26, from 9 am – 4 pm with a lunch break from 12 pm – 1 pm. Lunch is not provided.
