Tickets On Sale For Waterwise Garden Tour Featuring 18 Local Homes
The self-guided tour of home gardens in Walnut Creek and Concord showcases the beauty and diversity of waterwise gardens.
WALNUT CREEK, CA— The Ruth Bancroft Garden, Contra Costa Water District and East Bay Municipal Utility District have partnered to offer a self-guided tour of 18 home gardens in Walnut Creek and Concord. The tour will showcase the beauty and diversity of waterwise gardens in our communities.
During the tour, you provide your transportation and explore the gardens at your own pace from 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm. Out of respect for the homeowners, we ask that you do not visit the gardens between 12 pm and 1 pm. Lunch is not provided. The tour will happen rain or shine.
To ensure an efficient flow of visitors to each home, there will be four circuits you can choose from to view these extraordinary waterwise gardens. Circuits A, B, and C will feature the same 16 gardens — however, each circuit views those gardens in a different order. For example, if you choose to start your tour using Circuit A, you will begin at an address in southeast Concord; Circuit B begins north of Ygnacio Valley Blvd.; and Circuit C begins south of Ygnacio Valley Blvd. The fourth circuit is a bicycle route that includes 11 gardens to view with a choose-your-own start location.
