Thousands Awoke Without Power In Santa Cruz Co.
Thousands woke to find themselves in the dark Friday morning.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — More than 2,000 Pacific Gas & Electric Co. customers in or near South County were in the dark Friday morning.
An outage impacting nearly 2,000 — primarily in the areas of Corralitos, Amesti and Freedom — was reported around 1:20 a.m., according to PG&E. Another 300 east of Llagas-Uvas in Santa Clara County lost power around 5:45 a.m.
Power was restored to both areas as of Friday afternoon.
