3 Arrested After NorCal Police Chase
A loaded firearm and hundreds of grams of meth and other drugs were found in the vehicle, according to sheriff's officials.
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — Three people were arrested in Castroville early Friday morning after allegedly leading Monterey County Sheriff's Deputies on a vehicle chase.
A search of the vehicle after the chase ended allegedly revealed a loaded firearm and hundreds of grams of methamphetamine and other drugs, according to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office.
A deputy noticed the 2015 white Dodge Dart at a gas station in Prunedale and allegedly recognized it from a previous pursuit a month prior. The vehicle was also allegedly displaying false registration stickers.

After attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver allegedly fled in the vehicle, leading deputies on a chase that ended at Cooper and McDougal streets when deputies used their patrol cars to stop the vehicle.
A search allegedly turned up over 200 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle along with over 130 grams on one of the suspects. A loaded .38 caliber revolver, fentanyl and evidence of drug sales were also allegedly found, according to the sheriff's office.

The driver, 36-year-old Eduardo Garcia, a Royal Oaks resident, was arrested on several allegations.
Two passengers, 31-year-old Xochitl Elizabeth Lujan, a Salinas resident, and 44-year-old Monique Erica Zamora, of Watsonville, were also arrested.
