Annual Artichoke Festival In Monterey Canceled Due To Coronavirus
This is the first time since 1959 that the festival has been canceled, organizers said.
MONTEREY, CA — The annual Artichoke Festival in Monterey that had been set to
take place in August has been canceled as a result of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, organizers announced Wednesday.
The event, which had been held every year since 1959 and was scheduled for Aug. 8-9 at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center, instead will return on June 5 and 6 in 2021.
Festival organizers will refund all pre-purchased tickets for the 2020 version of the event.
