Sampling by the state of Maryland revealed one lot of the juice tested above inorganic arsenic guidance set last year by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, the notice said.

Effective June 1, 2023, the agency lowered the industry action level for inorganic arsenic from 23 parts per billion to 10 parts per billion, according to the company, which reported Maryland authorities determined the recalled juice had inorganic arsenic levels of 11.6 parts per billion.
