Bicyclist Rescued 250 Feet Downhill, Sheriff Says

The man was heard calling for help, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A bicyclist was rescued Saturday night after losing control of his bike on a steep hillside, the sheriff's office said.

He was not injured.

Residents near Eureka Canyon north of Corralitos heard a man screaming for help and called dispatchers, the sheriff's office said.

Neighbors helped Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies find the man, who was eventually found 250 feet down the hill.

"Huge thank you to the residents who called in to dispatch," the sheriff's office said.
