Ceres Man, 19, Sentenced To Prison For Violating Probation
The man was accused of striking his girlfriend in the face with keys while choking her and holding their baby, the DA's office said.

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A Ceres man was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday after violating the terms of his domestic violence probation in Monterey County, according to the District Attorney's office. Prosecutors said Jaime Raymundo, 19, was accused of striking his girlfriend in the face with keys while choking her and simultaneously holding their then 1-year-old child in November of 2014.
He pleaded guilty to felony domestic violence and misdemeanor child abuse in March of 2015. According to prosecutors, he was ordered to complete a 52-week domestic violence class, attend child abusers classes, complete forty hours of community service, report to probation officers, obey all laws, refrain from the use of controlled substances and not posses any weapons.
Prosecutors said that in two years time, Raymundo violated every single one of the terms of his plea agreement. During sentencing Judge Julie R. Culver noted the violent nature of his crimes and that his illegal behavior had increased in severity, indicating Raymundo was a danger to society.
