Police said Donald Wayne Vierra, 64, was arrested in March after a Seaside police officer saw him stumbling into traffic.

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A Seaside man has been convicted of possession of nunchucks and possession of a methamphetamine pipe, Monterey County District Attorney Dean Flippo announced Thursday. Donald Wayne Vierra, 64, is scheduled for sentencing on Dec. 14. In March, a Seaside police officer saw Vierra stumbling into traffic in the area of Fremont Boulevard and Francis Avenue, prosecutors said.
The officer approached Vierra and saw he was holding a kitchen knife in his hand. The officer searched Vierra and located nunchucks wrapped in a Hustler magazine that was stuffed up Vierra's jacket sleeve, prosecutors said. The officer also located a methamphetamine pipe in Vierra's vest pocket.
