• No injuries following structure fire near Sunset State Beach (santacruzsentinel.com) — Watsonville-area fire crews helped contain a house fire near Sunset State Beach on Sunday evening, and all residents escaped without injury. Multiple agencies, including Watsonville Fire and Pajaro Valley Fire, quickly stopped the flames from spreading beyond one neighboring building and are reminding locals that fast self-evacuation lets firefighters focus on putting out the blaze.
