Shark Attack Reported In Northern California
The attack happened at Still Water Cove at the popular Pebble Beach area.

NORTHERN CALIFORINA -- A man spearfishing in Northern California was reportedly bit by a shark on Friday. The attack happened at Still Water Cove at the popular Pebble Beach area, according to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office.
Two off-duty deputies were in the area fishing when they were alerted of the victim who was bit, officials said.
"One of the Deputies on scene was trained in emergency field medicine and applied a tourniquet to the man's leg stopping his massive blood loss," officials said in a Facebook post.

The victim was transported to a hospital in Salinas, according to The Mercury News.
During a search of the area, officials discovered a "a large aquatic animal off Pescadero Point, which may have been a shark." The bite marks indicate that it was a shark, the newspaper reported.
