South County Power Outage Affects 2K+
Thousands awoke to find themselves in the dark Thursday morning in Santa Cruz County.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — More than 2,000 in South County woke without power Thursday morning.
More than 2,200 lost power around 4:30 a.m., according to the Pacific Gas & Electric Co. The outage primarily affected Corralitos residents, but also impacted some in the Amesti, Aptos Hills, Larkin Valley, Day Valley and Freedom areas.
Nearly 300 lost power in smaller outages affecting pockets in Aptos and north of Soquel.
