3-Car Crash Kills 2, Watsonville Police Investigating
Police are investigating a fatal three-car crash that happened Saturday night.
WATSONVILLE, CA — The Watsonville Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating a three-car crash that killed two people.
The crash happened Saturday night just before 11:30 on Green Valley Road and Pennsylvania Drive, police said.
Police said the initial investigation indicated that a Nissan was speeding when it ran a red light and crashed into a Chevy truck that was turning left onto Pennsylvania Drive.

The driver of the Nissan died at the scene, police said. He was a 20-year-old male from Watsonville.
One of the passengers in the Nissan, a 16-year-old male from Watsonville, was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The second passenger, a 20-year-old male, was taken to the hospital and expected to recover, police said.
The impact of the crash caused the truck to hit a Honda that was stopped on Green Valley Road. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. The driver of the Honda was uninjured, police said.
