SALINAS, CA — A toddler recently ended up in the emergency room after she was mistakenly served cooking wine instead of apple juice at a Salinas restaurant, according to KSBW.
The child’s family, from Hollister, went to dinner at Fujiyama Japanese Restaurant and realized the girl’s juice cup contained wine because she started swaying, falling over and slurring her words, the outlet reported.
The toddler’s blood alcohol content was 0.12 percent but she has since sobered up, according to KSBW, which reported police were investigating the incident along with the state alcoholic beverage control department.
