Watsonville HS On Lockdown, Student Arrested: Report

Police responded to Watsonville High School around 12:17 Monday afternoon. The lockdown has been lifted.

WATSONVILLE, CA — A 14-year-old student was arrested Monday following a gun-related threat at Watsonville High School, the Santa Cruz Sentinel reported.

School lockdown orders were lifted shortly after, police say.

Police responded to the school after a resource officer called in a request for backup at 12:17. The student was detained within five minutes and police found them with a BB gun that looked like a real firearm. Detectives continue to investigate.
